• What else does the Professional Resume Upgrade include?
  Beyond what's listed on the website, the package includes up to 3 rounds of edits, educational emails, and a career consultation call to discover other services that may be valuable to you.
• How do I get matched with a resume writer?
  The customer’s assigned resume writer is selected via an algorithm based on:  Matching the customer’s industry with writers who have been successful working with this kind of professional; Organizational level (entry-level, manager, director, executive); Who is available next. Our professional resume writers have gone through an extensive vetting and training process to make sure they deliver what we promise.
• What happens on the 20-minute intro call?
  This call is intended for the customer to meet their writer and have a sense of who they will be working with. If there is anything unclear about the information the customer provided in their questionnaire, this is an opportunity for the writer to get those questions answered. This call is not intended for the writer to walk through the entire resume with the customer because our methodology is designed in such a way where this is not necessary. Additionally, if there are any questions the customer has this is an opportunity for the customer to get those questions answered.
• How does my writer upgrade my resume?
  The Job Sauce uses an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) check software to identify where and how the resume is not already optimized. This will act as a roadmap in the work the writer will be doing with the customer. The resume writer will use Google Docs to ask the client about the information that is in their current resume so we can ensure it is “results driven,” as well as targeted to the roles the customer is intending to apply for. “Results driven” means highlighting the client’s accomplishments in their role. The package includes 1 - 3 rounds of edits. Please remember to be thorough, concise, and prompt during the revision rounds. Our goal is to “get it right” on the first round of edits.
• What if I need more than one resume?
  All of our resume writing services include one upgraded resume. If you want another, not a problem! You should discuss with your resume writer whether an additional resume is necessary. If you are requesting an additional resume, the cost is $150 per additional resume. Your writer will support you with this process.
• What's involved in Clarity Coaching?
  Clarity Coaching helps clients get clear on what kind of role they want to target next through a series of assessments and conversations with a high trained, accredited Clarity Coach. Being clear on your target role will ensure your resume is as effective as possible.
• What's involved in the Salary Consult?
  The salary consult will help you understand your market value and maximize your initial offer by answering compensation questions effectively. Most people leave over $10k on the table because of the answer they give to initial compensation questions.
• What happens on the Career Consultation Call?
  You'll discuss your current career situation and obstacles to landing a new job, and what services The Job Sauce offers that may be valuable to you in overcoming those obstacles.
• Do you provide cover letters?
  Cover letter template is available upon request. We do not include this in the package. However, when requested, they need to be very customized. We provide you with a template that includes guidelines on how to customize it.
• Can I see samples of past resumes TJS has done?
  No. We do not have permission from past clients to share their information with the general public and this would be a violation of privacy laws. Also, our templates are part of our secret sauce :-)
• Can I request who does my upgrade specifically?
  It depends. If the customer worked with a writer previously and is asking for a specific writer, we will almost always be able to accommodate them. But it is good to check in first to make sure that this is the case (writer could be on vacation for example).
• What if I don’t get a job with the resume I get from TJS? Can I get a refund or the resume rewritten?
  No refunds. No rewrites beyond initial edits. The Job Sauce delivers an ATS and SEO optimized, results-driven resume that will increase the chances of being invited to interview by 30 - 40 %. That said, 80% of jobs that are actually available are not posted to the general public. This means that the general population is all applying for the 20% that is publicly accessible - thus creating a highly concentrated applicant pool- and those posted jobs aren’t always open. Some companies post jobs they’ve already filled because of HR policies or the intent to build a pipeline for the future. It is incredibly important that customers leverage and expand their professional networks to get introductions, referrals, etc. The resume cannot accomplish everything on its own. In our career coaching program, we coach clients on all the actions they need to be taking outside of online applicants to land more interviews and increase the odds they’ll get hired.
• What kind(s) of resume design styles do you use?
  We use an executive style resume that most customers have probably seen in the past. Customers are welcome to transfer the resume content into a different style after the upgrade. And there are some things they should know: This particular style has and continues to perform the best of all resume styles out there. We have tested this and continue to test regularly. The more design-forward resumes that although look beautiful and were most likely designed in Adobe Illustrator actually can work against you because: Are difficult for hiring managers to read and navigate Have tables and formatting that ATS check algorithms cannot read, registering the customer as a lesser match for the job they apply to
