There is a great deal of research that shows that college graduates’ transition from college to their first professional job are fraught with challenges. According to research by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), it will take the average graduate 7.4 months to find employment.
Why is that?
It’s partly because most grads just don’t know how to look for a job. A second study by NACE found that nearly 62 percent of graduating seniors either NEVER went to the career center, or only visited once, or twice. It’s no wonder then that a study by the Career Advisory Bureau found that 55.7 percent of career center directors did not think their graduates resumes were ready to be shared with employers.
That is why 27 career authors, a dozen career coaches, and The Job Sauce have come together to offer college graduates from the Class of 2017 the opportunity to participate in the 3-day Grad CareerFestival scheduled for July 27th – 29th, from 11 am – 10 pm EDT. Graduates can participate in four tracks, Career Management, Job Search, Post-Graduation Advice, Career Coaching.
The cost to participate in all 33 hours of career presentations has been discounted by 50% to only $33 however, grads can attend free by simply entering THEJOBSAUCE
